INFLUENCES Exhibition at the Buddy Holly Center in Lubbock, Texas

A big thanks to Zach Tate for inviting me to be in this show!!!

The Buddy Holly Center is excited to announce its new exhibition, Influenced, featuring ceramic art. Influenced will be on exhibit in the Fine Art Gallery of the Buddy Holly Center November 22, 2011 through January 8, 2012.

Influenced is a national invitational exhibition organized by the Texas Tech School of Art Ceramics department featuring the work of graduate students Bruce Alves, Kara Frank, Adam Redd and Zach Tate, and Professors Juan Granados and Von Venhuizen. Nationally recognized ceramicists also featured in this exhibition include Bede Clark, Tom Bartel, Justin Rothshank, Sue Whitmore and Cameron Crawford. The exhibition explores the connections between the students and their mentors/teachers and influences that extend beyond the classroom and studio setting.

Greetings!!!

This is it!  I am now going to try to hook a blog to www.jakeallee.com.  My posts will appear as I have time, but I hope to make this a regular effort that keeps everyone informed of my educational and art making activity.  Thanks to everyone for all of the support over the last 15 years!!!  Choosing a life in education and ceramics is a hard road an it doesn't seem to be getting any easier, but I'm NOT one to quit.  -JAKE
